Saturday - Snow still melting, there was a lot.
Book #39 was The Far Side of the Stars (RCN #3), by David Drake.
Book #40 would be The Way to Glory (RCN #4), by David Drake. About as close as one can get to naval fiction in spaceships I guess...
Friday -The snow is melting... Too bad.
I bought a toaster over the other day, but still haven't used it.
Thursday - Snow!! Thanksgiving!!
When I arose it was snowing, and it continued for the rest of the day.
I was invited next door to Thanksgiving, and in fact I went into town and picked up R&S and brought them out too - the snow was a good foot deep and they were concerned about driving in it - but with the new truck and 4WD I was happy to help :-) I took them home too. First time using the defrosted and 4WD for more than a few seconds, but no problems.
Because of the snow there were a lot of "no shows", but we all had a fine time and a delicious supper.
Wednesday - I was supposed to go to my brother Mike's Thanksgiving, but Bob can't make it down from Carson City because of the storm, and now someone at his house has the nasty flu. So maybe my neighbor's will take pity on me...
Tuesday - Rain and snow predicted for Thanksgiving.
Reasonably warm out still. Out using some FlexSeal on the chimney cover. It's been a year and there are a few small cracks in the old stuff - as I recall there was a very small leak after days and days of rain late in the spring. In theory it's nonflammable, not petroleum based. I bought a quart of the stuff: expensive, but not as expensive as the spray can applicators are.
Monday - Did more painting - "finished" the outer walls, and the Chimney box. This took a surprising amount of time, it's a big box and one spends time reaching and stretching to get it all.
Sunday - A bit of shopping in the morning, no painting
Went over to my friend Can's for a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Picked up S too. There were some issues with the turkey gravy, and S and the kids had fun making that in a hurry with some sort of strange emergency flour. What is it about Thanksgiving that always ends in an emergency?
