Saturday - Still not painting.
I've made a reservation with Mid Town Sweeps (recommended by S) for them
to come out and inspect the pellet stove and chimney, in a couple of
weeks. I've started using the pellet stove again and am nervous
about a chimney fire from creosote or whatever: I've no idea how well the
pellet stove was installed. Most construction and installation
around here is acceptable, some is a bit questionable.
Book #38 was Dark Secret, by Edward M. Lerner.
Friday - Warming up, feeling better.
I've ordered a USB drive that fits the iPhone. I haven't gone on about it here, but I can't get my pictures and videos off the iPhone properly. The first trial, the tried and true old way of hooking up via USB tether to the MacBook and using Image Capture only sees a few files. And iCloud deletes the image name and sets the date created and modified time stamps to the upload time. WTH Apple? It's like I'm living in the late 90's and early 'oughts again. I've probably wasted an entire day on this trivial matter.
Thursday - Cold overnight. There was actually some frost on ground, probably because of the light rain earlier in the week.
Wednesday -Cold and wet out. I need to hit the chimney chase cover with some more FlexSeal, no sign of leaks but it's been a year since the last coat.
Still a bit under the weather.
I tried making a loaf of bread in the bread machine but it didn't rise. Quite the disappointment after the smell of delicious bread filling the house for hours.
Tuesday - And, coming down with fever and chills. Yuck.
Monday - Warm, a bit windy.
Continued painting, most of the west side is now done. Gables and chimney
still need a final coat, but 98% done.
Sunday - No shopping in the morning, painting the house takes precedence...
Just did various bits of painting for most of the day.
