Saturday - Still pretty warm.

I worked on the eaves until mid-afternoon, when heat and wind made it too unpleasant. Things are proceeding...

Friday 28 September 2018 Friday - Hot.

Worked on the app some more.

Thursday 27 September 2018 Thursday - Hot, in the high 90's again.

Worked on the app, despite temptations to work on various house things, and succeeded in debugging most things. I will own to errors, but they are in the round-about methods that Apple forced me into :-(

Not much going on other than that.

Wednesday - Hot, into the high 90's.

I made a trip down to Ojai with a friend. I'm a backup trustee/executor for someone and there were some things that needed to be ironed out. It all went fine - including the traffic, but it took much longer than I expected and I didn't get the chance to get some personal business in Camarillo done. No big deal though.

And I was comped dinner at In-N-Out on the way home, so it's all good.

Very tired on arriving home, and surprised to discover it was still 90F at 7:30pm in the AV, Ojai had been pleasantly warm and Ventura almost foggy.

I really want to go hiking, or at least walking around the neighborhood, but managed to step on a thorn while walking about in flip-flops in the yard. Now its buried right in the ball of my right foot, in the middle of the scar tissue from the surgery a couple of years ago. I imagine it will be dissolved in week or so, but it's annoying to have one more delay.

Tuesday - Warming up here in the valley.

I worked on the app's SETTINGS scene most of the day. It's mostly working, but occasionally the game level is getting confused, or at least the display of the game level (separate things really), during scene segues. I only discovered this at the end of the day, when I thought I was done with that part. Arrgghhh.

I took an hour to do a bit of sanding and primer painting in the master bath. It's a good way to get one's frustrations out.

Monday - In the 90's again.

Working on the app in the afternoon. Things are coming along, but there is a lot of grunt work that Apple should have done for me - conditional segue's for example. People have been asking about them since Apple forced segues onto the developers years ago, and have been forced to write their own logic and actions, just as if segues had never been introduced.

A nice full moon in the evening.

Sunday - Nice. Did some shopping.

I need to get a hobby that doesn't require the use of my hands, or a computer, as I said last week. Did some reading.

Book #33 was Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline. I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected, to be honest. Lots of explanatory stuff interrupts the flow of the novel, it starts off with a diatribe against religion and God, people in trailers are drug addicted trash, global warming is real, evil multi-national corporations are everywhere (that part is true, but it's been done), and a host of other check-the-box politically correct drivel. Too bad.

Glad it was a library book.
