Saturday
- back in Lancaster, with chores to do. The lawn looks like it will wait a week though ;-)
We went to the fair on Friday night. It was nice. We went to the food
contests, my friend and her son won big, as always. The boy, and his
best bud, after dutifully hanging out with the adults for an hour went
off to ride the various attractions - the Vomitron
was mentioned... We looked at the arts and photography exhibits, and
the antique trucks and tractor stuff, the hogs in the animal barns. The
usual, and the weather was wonderful.

- I've been listening to Galileo's Daughter, by Dava Sobel. Not done
yet, but it's interesting. I wish it were a little more in depth, but
what there is of background is fascinating.

- worked. I'm enjoying the morning commute, misty fogs and sunrises are
pleasant to see. Watched the sun setting behind the Santa Barbara
peninsula on the way home. It's still well north of due West.

- commuted down, worked. Not a lot to say there.

- not a lot to say. Tried to get the chores done before late evening,
and was mildly successful. I did put the new video card in the PC and
put the newer version of Ubuntu on it, but need to bring over some
other stuff, and am considering installing the proprietary drivers from
Nvidia. Haven't decided yet.
