Saturday - At the beach.

Friday - Getting ready to head out. Very busy all day long, actually headed out to the coast about 6pm, after a very long day. Fortunately Kirk was with me and willing to do the driving for the first half, so that made it easier. Also him mom had made lunches, which we devoured for dinner along the way.

Thursday - Mowed front and back, and did laundry. Vacuumed upstairs, much to the kittens distress...

Wednesday - Got the west side swamp cooler mostly secured. I still need to add a couple of small things, but it's OK for now. I'll probably redo it when I get back, but it's secure and waterproof.

Tuesday - Keeping busy, working around the house and in the yard. Made a good start on getting the west side swamp cooler in, there is some stuff still to be done, but then there's a lot of other stuff, so I did other things in the hot afternoon...

Monday 23 June 2014
Monday - Cleaning up in the yard and garage mostly. It's getting hot, and I want to be able to put the Explorer back in the garage. To do this I had to tear down the painting setup, and do a lot of picking up.


Here's a shot of the window security panels after a final coat of paint in the garage, tan and blue-green. The smaller item is the old one that I cut and sized last year, the other is for the bigger west side window a/c.

It took a lot longer than I thought to put in the old a/c unit, starting about 6:50am it took until after 9am to get it all in. By the time it was done I was hot and sweaty and my back hurt.


Afterwards I went over to S's place and we discussed app stuff, including bluetooth assistive switch stuff. In the end we bought a bluetooth adapter from RJ Cooper, and a couple of big buttons from Ebay for the cost of a single new one elsewhere.

The Apple iOS 7 was a big improvement over iOS 6 for assistive stuff, I'll have to research what iOS 8 might have brought to the table, perhaps over the vacation - supposedly the new-to-us beach house "has wifi"!

Sunday - Working away on various chores. Mostly just taking it easy and trying to get ready for doing a big batch of chores next week.


I need to space things out, but essentially I need to mow front and back, vacuum and dust upstairs and downstairs (my cat sitter has allergies!), clean the bathrooms, clean out the garage, and install the security panels above the window a/c units. Plus the usual laundry and dishes, plus pack for the coast. And fix those bikes.

The chores that are imperative are the security panels, but I should get most of these done.
