Saturday - Feeling better. I tried not
taking the DayQuil and had a miserable morning, so I started taking it
again. A simple trip to the store to pick up some staples - soup,
bread, etc., left me exhausted. Still, I'm better than I was. On the
mend I guess.
Book #68 was The Lost Fleet #6:Victorious.
Black Jack finally defeats the evil Syndics, but discovers a sinister
Alien Presence behind his human enemies...stay tuned for sequels!!!

Friday
- I'm trying to remember the last time I had a stomach ache as
part of a flu. As a child? Weird. I've actually been woken up from a
dead sleep the last couple of nights by the stomach pains.
Wednesday - Yeah, it's the flu. Punishment for not going North I guess.
Book #64 was The Lost Fleet #2: Fearless, and #65 was The Lost Fleet #3:Courageous, both by Jack Campbell. What can I say? Home sick with almost zero attention span...
My friend Tim had surgery for a torn bicep muscle. He says it went well and that he is home with "happy pills". Yay!

Tuesday
- Not feeling well, coming down with something :-(
Read some bad SF; Book #63 being The Lost Fleet #1: Dauntless, by Jack Campbell. Escapist space opera, which is all I feel up too.
I also finished Veronica Mars, Season 1,
on Netflix. Great ending, I did not see that coming. VM isn't as good
as Buffy, more on a par with Angel. When it's good it's good, but
sometimes the acting is a bit rough.

Monday
- Messing around in the yard, trying to get things more into shape. The
more I do, the more I see that needs to be done. Essentially the place
has been sitting unmaintained for several years and the time has come
to pay the piper.

Sunday
- Not much to say. Just doing housework, for the most part.
My brother emailed me, said he'd started on removing some of the old
retaining walls - I feel bad about not going up, but perhaps I can go
after July 4th.
